 About the Flip Stick

The “Flip Stick” removes hooks from the mouth,
throat, or body of fish and allows them to be released
unharmed back into their own environment without even having to touch them!  Separating and distinguishing
itself from all other fish hook removers, the “FlipStick

will work on any size or breed of fish.  It doesn’t matter
what kind of hook you’re using, the “Flip Stick” will do the
job every time.  On one end is a stainless steel hook for
flipping or releasing the fish, and the other end is forked
for removing deeply embedded hooks.

The Big Game, which comes with a wrist strap, and the
Original are equipped with a hole for the removal of
the fins of those fish you’d like to keep.  The Flip Stick
Pee Wee was designed for the small guys like
crappie, sunfish, and trout.

The “Flip Stick”, known as the world’s fastest fish
hook remover, has brought a new concept to the fishing
industry!  Combined with its speed, accuracy, and
safety to the fishermen and fish, the “Flip Stick” has
rapidly become the leader of all fish hook removers on
the market today!

(The “Flip Stick” is backed by a manufacturer’s
replacement warranty under normal use.)

Comes packaged in clam shell for easy display.

                                                          Attention!

New Regulations Requiring Circle Hooks, De-hooking Devices,
and Venting Tools for Gulf of Mexico Reef Fish
                                        Effective June 1, 2008
                                   Frequently Asked Questions

New Regulatory Requirements

What are the new reef fish gear regulations?
• The regulations will require the use of venting tools and dehooking devices when fishing for
reef fish in the Gulf of Mexico. The rule will also require all persons aboard a vessel
harvesting reef fish to possess and use non-stainless steel circle hooks when using natural baits.

Who must comply with these regulations?

• These regulations apply to all commercial and recreational fishermen fishing for reef fish in Federal Waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
• However, often states implement compatible regulations. Check with the state fishery management agency whose waters you are fishing in to determine if similar measures apply.

Dehooking devices

What is a dehooking device?

• A dehooking device is a tool intended to remove a hook embedded in a fish. It allows a fish
to be released with minimum damage.
• The hook removal device must be constructed to allow the hook to be secured and the barb
shielded without re-engaging during the removal process.
• The dehooking end must be blunt, and all edges rounded.
• The device must be of a size appropriate to secure the range of hook sizes and styles used the reef fish fishery.
• At least one dehooking device is required when fishing for reef fish in Gulf of Mexico Federal Waters, and must be used to remove hooks embedded in reef fish with minimum damage.  The FLIP STICK will do the job every time.
